STRANGE SNOW RINGS IN ENGLAND
Early December 2010 Freddie Holding discovered strange rings in the snow in a forest at British Leckhampton Hill (Gloucestershire).
While walking her dog Guinness she noticed a multitude of rings, melted in the snow around the trees.
Nobody knows how the rings came into existence. Even the tree experts of Cheltenham Tree Services admitted they had never seen anything like that before.
"The most likely answer is that the pattern is man-made", they said...
The fact that no foot prints were discovered (one would expect many hundreds?) plus the fact that it is quite an odd way to kill time in such a desolate area (motive?),
make the work of man highly unlikely.
Already in 1990 similar snow rings were reported in Russia:
Remarkable deatil was the 'grapeshot': the tiny circle next to each series of rings.
Also there is a strong similarity with the sand rings at Hugpoint, USA, in 1994:
Up until today, the rings - in snow, wheat and sand - remain an unsolved mystery.
