LIGHT PHENOMENA

On 18 July 2000 Andy Buckley witnessed an extraordinary event standing on top of Picked Hill, close to the small village of Woodborough (Wiltshire, UK). As he put his video camera on a tripod, he saw bright balls of light approaching through the air. The lights were very similar to the ones filmed by Donald Fletcher. They flew - one after another - over a small crop circle at the foot of Woodborough Hill, after which they accelerated to enormous speed. They skimmed by Picked Hill after which Andy losed them. In total he filmed no less than seven lights!

Even though his video footage is not of the outstanding quality as Donald Fletcher's, it's absolutely worth watching. Several interesting features of the crop cicle lights stand out clearly.

First of all, we see once again the stunning acceleration.

Second, we see how one of the lights splits into two. They continue as two individual, independent lights, skimming by just above the ground.

Third, we see how physical the lights are, when a bird of prey mistakes one of the lights for ordinary food on the wing. The bird approaches with high speed, and just before snatching the light, it realizes its mistake. The bird is clearly startled, it makes a warding off movement in the air and shoot off as fast as it can... Thanks to this unique piece of footage, the argument of sceptics that the lights are simply fluffy, white seeds close to the camera's lens, is weakened once and for all.

Forth, the British army plays a clear and interesting part in this footage. Even though the official statements that neither army nor government are the slightest bit interested in the crop circles, and the whole phenomenon is considered officially to be just a big joke, Andy Buckley's footage shows quite the opposite. As Andy is filming, suddenly a group of soldiers runs up Picked Hill. While the camera keeps rolling, standing on its tripod, you can see an army helicopter appear. One of the soldiers communicates with the helicopter pilot, who obviously is looking for something. At that point, there are no lights visible. The helicopter flies to and fro, and as the pilot is still clearly searching for something, suddenly a large ball of light flies through the screen! This light must have been visible to the helicopter pilot, yet he does not respond at all. We know for sure (from other cases) that both army and government thoroughly examines the crop circle phenomenon and the lights, but this helicopter eventually leaves the area, while the lights keep flying through Andy's screen. Seeing this footage, you can draw but one conclusion: the millitary (including the men on Picked Hill) do not see the lights. It seems as if the lights decide who is to see them and who is not! I know this sounds bizarre, but there are more examples of this. One of them happened to myself. I will share it with you on the following page.

Interesting detail: several weeks after Andy Buckley's sighting, this gorgeous formation appeared between Woodborough Hill and Picked Hill, right in the track of the lights...
