Strange lights are regularly seen and filmed/photographed in and around crop circles. They vary from balls of light and columns of light, to light spirals and foggy lights. On photographs they quite often appear as blurs, as if the photo was wrongly exposed. Sometimes those blurs are white, sometimes brightly coloured, for example red. The fact that the lights occasionally leave traces behind, shows us how physical they really are. This is confirmed by a video footage that shows us a bird of prey attacking a ball of light, assuming it's ordinary food on the wing. At the very last moment however, the bird realises its mistake and turns away rapidly...

All of this weirdness is shown on these pages. Until recently, eyewitnesses who claimed to have seen balls of light just before, during or after the forming of a crop circle, were usually not taken very seriously. In October 2000 however, Dutch physicist Dr. Eltjo Haselhoff proved scientifically that the crop circles he had examined had been made by electromagnetic point-sources. In other words: they had been made by balls of light. (More about this in Facts & Theories). Suddenly, eyewitnesses were now being taken much more seriously, as were the many lights that appeared on photographs (both analogue and digital), slides and even on video footage filmed at broad daylight...
