The population density had been altered as well. In our original message it had been indicated as 4.29 billion people (the number in 1974, when the message was sent into space). In the Answer the population density was 21.3 billion, about five times as much.
And then there was the variant to our planet and its position in our solar system. In the Answer no less than three planets had been marked as the dwelling-place of these ETs: the third, fourth and fifth planet from their sun (or from our sun, if they live in our solar system...).
The Answer's climax was at the bottom. In our original message there was information about the way we had sent the massage into space: by means of the Arecibo radio telescope. In the Answer there was something completely different, something that could only be recognized by experienced crop circle researchers. It was a representation of a crop circle that had appeared in exactly the same field, one year earlier:
The question remains: what can we conclude from all of this?
I think first of all that it is important that we look at the authenticity of these two remarkable formations. After all, if these formations were man-made, it's no use diving into them... Unfortunately I had just returned to the Netherlands when they appeared, so I cannot tell you anything first hand. I have to trust the opinion of other researchers who did visit and examine the formations. Of all of them who did this and whose opinion I value (since they have been around this phenomenon for quite some time and they know how to look and what to look at), each and every one of them turned out of the opinion that these two formations were indeed genuine, not man-made. The lay of the crop was very beautiful, most stems were bent instead of broken, there were no footprints. So... two genuine formations! This means we can come to the following conclusion:
These formations are messages of intelligent, non-human beings who wish to communicate with us. They live in great numbers on three different planets, they have relatively large heads and large eyes, they are approximately one meter in height, they have different DNA than we, silicon is an important buiding block to them, and they communicate via crop circles...
We cannot be certain about where they come from. If they do come from another solar system (which seems to be the case, since the sun in the Answer was smaller than the one in our original message), we still don't know which solar system they are talking about and how far away from Earth it is situated. But suppose they come from the same solar system as we (which is not excluded, since both our original and their Answer show 9 planets besides the sun), this would mean that they live on our planet(!) - the third planet from the sun - on Mars (fourth planet from the sun) and either on the Asteroid belt, or on Jupiter. I guess the most likely option would be Jupiter, because the fifth planet in the Answer has been marked as extra large...
But the ET-story is not over yet. One year later there appeared another crystal clear link to extraterrestrial contact...
