Is there an intelligence behind this phenomenon?
Yes. This is the only way to explain the complex (and sometimes very recognizable) patterns. Scientific research proved that these formations were not man-made, but that there had been an energy at work partly unknown to us. Just a 'normal' natural phenomenon could not explain these patterns either, first of all because of the microwave-like energy of unknown nature and origin. Secondly because of the unusual substances that indicate an extra-terrestrial origin. And thirdly because of the fact that although nature does produce beautiful shapes (such as ice crystals), it is not known to produce madalas, minoras, animal shapes and humanoid faces.

Ever since the late seventies - when the crop circle wave began - various researchers have studied the geometry of the formations.
