What is my personal idea about this phenomenon?
I think we are dealing with a Mystery. With something we may never understand with our minds. I have a feeling it goes even further than a Mystery, I believe we are dealing with a Miracle. And I think this Miracle is revealing itself to us with a reason: it wants to tell us something.

We are living in a time of wars, of abusing world powers, unnecessary famines, threatening exhaustion of the Earth and her sources, extreme global pollution, destruction of the protecting ozone layer, large-scale deforestation, and so on. True, there have always been wars, but always on a relatively small scale: clan against clan, and later nation against nation. Never before in the history of mankind have we had at our disposal so many mass-destruction weapons (atomic bombs, chemical and biological weapons) with which we can destroy all of mankind and our planet in one, final blow.
Ancient religious and spiritual source texts describe this time as the 'dark epoch' or 'late time', in which the world has deteriorated to such an extent due to man's actions, that we bear down on total destruction. According to these source texts, this is when a Divine power will intervene. Not only to protect mankind against itself, but also to protect planet Earth and thus the entire universe, inextricably bound up with our planet.
This Divine Intervention could reveal itself - among other things - by raising humanity's consciousness, through which Earth's destruction can be averted. Many traditions interpret this Divine Intervention as the literal, physical coming of a Divine person. The Christians talk about the Second Coming of Christ, the Boeddhists call it the Coming of Maitreya, the Hindu's call it the Kalki Avatar, the Jews talk about the Messiah and the Moslims call it Mahdhi. Through the coming and loving presence of this Divine Incarnation, man's consciouness here on Earth can and will be raised. Think for instance of the coming of Jesus Christ, who brought Christ Consciousness to the Earth, thus raising man's consciouness.
I believe crop circles are such a kind of Divine Intervention. They too raise our consciouness. They open up our hearts, they broaden our horizon, they open us up to other opinions and ideas. The make us less prejudiced, milder, more loving towards ourselves and our environment. They are a source of endless, unconditional love. They are Consciousness: formless, endless Consciouness. And they are Light, Conscious Light: "Indivisible Oneness of Unbroken Light", as my Spiritual Teacher calls the Divine. And that's what we see on photographs, that's what we notice when we talk about it, that's what we feel when we enter a formation...
Over the last 30 years we have seen a strong evolution in the crop formations. One year, it was the number of formations, the other year it was their geometrical development. Sometimes it was through recognizable formations, clearly trying to tell us something, and other times it was the number of balls of light that were seen and filmed. Personally, I feel the tension build up each year. In my opinion, this has got to do with the increasing seriousness of the world situation. And in my opinion, it is leading up to something really big...
As I have already explained in other chapters of "Facts & Theories", I believe there are many involvements at work here: the extraterrestrial certainly plays a part (in my opinion), as do the Mayan Calendar with its crucial year of 2012, the Earth, humanity, Guides and Angels. But I believe the origin of the crop circles is Divine.

How did I come to this conclusion?
For years I only focused on the question how crop circles are formed. This was very intensive and good work, through which I got to know all the ins and outs of this phenomenon. In the course of years this study convinced me of the fact that crop circles are not made by people with stomper boards. I also became utterly aware of the fact that there is indeed an intelligence behind this phenomenon. A couple of years ago, via this basic study, I was ready for the next step: I started to wonder who the Circle Makers are, and why we receive the formations in our fields. And of all the theories, ideas and opinions that I studied, both from within the crop circle world and from elsewhere, in my opinion, the crop circle phenomenon only turned out to fit in one single 'box': the Divine.
I haven't come to this conclusion simply because I don't understand this phenomenon. There are more phenomena that I don't quite understand, yet I never before experienced anything divine there. I have reached this remarkable conclusion by listening to my intuition, by letting my heart speak. Simply by feeling…
I wasn't raised with any religious faith and I miss any ecclesiastical influence. And yet, this is my conclusion: crop circles are a form of Divine Intervention. They are here to save our planet and humanity from further decay and eventual destruction.
When you really start to feel what this means, you will notice that it's just too much to grasp. It has taken me many years before I dared to trust my feeling and speak about it freely. How many of us can say on their deathbeds that they actually witnessed a Miracle? A true Divine Miracle! Something like the apparition of the Virgin Mary in a bright aura of light? Or something like the Red Sea giving way to Moses and his people? Maybe a few hundreds of people once witnessed a true Miracle in the entire history of mankind. And now, at this moment in time, one of those true Miracles reveals itself to us... And the strangest thing is that the majority of mankind turns away from it, simply because they cannot grasp it. Mankind prays for a Miracle, but when he receives one in his backyard, he turns away from it.
It is simply too good to be true...
