Did I ever see a UFO?

number of pages: 2

Yes. In the Belgian Ardennes and in Wiltshire, South-England.

In 1994 I was in the Belgian Ardennes, together with Bert Janssen. We had rented a holliday cottage near Malmédy. The cottage had large, glass sliding doors, and sitting in a comfortable chair we had a wonderful view of the clear blue sky. At a certain moment, I pointed out an extremely bright 'star' to Bert. However, we both knew it couldn't be a star, for it was somewhere in the afternoon.

After a while we got bored and forgot about the light. But when we looked again, we noticed that the light had disappeared. That is, it had moved. It was now right above us, just visible from our chairs. Through our binoculars, we watched its intense clarity.

Suddenly the object became much less bright, and it was at that moment that Bert (who was watching through the binoculars) screamed. He described how the object suddenly let go of other objects, five in total, that fell down (three towards the left - from our point of view - and two towards the right) after which they vanished (or turned off their lights?). Then the original object vanished also. I know it sounds rather complex, but this is what it looked like:

It may be obvious that this was not a planet, star, or satellite. What it was, I don't know. It was something unidentified, that's for sure. When I told a ufologist about this event, he told me that it sounded very similar to many ufo-sightings in Mexico. On various pieces of video footage that were shot of the sightings in Mexico, one can clearly see - also at broad daylight - several objects falling from an original object, after which everything simply vanishes. When I saw some of these pieces of footage, I was indeed struck by the similarity.

When we reported our sighting at the UFO-centre in our country (the Netherlands), we were told that Malmédy is a so-called 'UFO-hotspot'.

'Our' object above Belgium was too high and too far away to see a concrete shape. We can only describe it as an extremely bright 'star'...
