FACTS & THEORIES

But the presence of the army goes a whole lot further than this. It happens on a regular basis that strange lights appear in the sky above the crop circle area. The ufologists who often visit this area also, know extremely well what the night sky looks like. They easily recognize the lights of helicopters, planes, and army flares.

The strangest thing is that the appearance of the unidentified lights quite often coincides with the sudden appearance - within only a few minutes - of army flares, in the direct vicinity of the unidentified lights. I have witnessed this personally on various occassions. It took me a while to understand what happens here. When unidentified lights appear, in many cases the army base is called to find out if any nightly exercises have taken place, which might explain the strange lights. In that case, they can safely say: "Oh yes, we carried out some exercises using flares and, well... these are quite often mistaken for ufos!" In other words, a clear denial and debunk manoeuvre...

In and of itself it is quite interesting that the army flares so often coincide with the appearance of a helicopter. How can the army be present so fast? It takes at least ten minutes to get a pilot in his helicopter and up in the air. How do they do this?

The idea has occurred to me (and to other researchers as well) that the army has the entire Pewsey Valley mapped out by means of a state of the art software programme. Suppose they have a large screen showing the electromagnetic status quo of the entire Pewsey Valley. And suppose the lights - electromagnetic in nature - cause a deviation in that status quo, then this will imediately show up on the screen. Maybe the deviations in the electromagnetic field of the surroundings can even be seen on the screen before they can be picked up by the human eye, then the army has an advantage and can send a helicopter to the exact spot for observation. Whether or not this is reality, of course I don't know. We keep guessing until the army starts giving out correct information. However, with the current technological means, this picture could well be reality...
