Are governements and armies interested?

number of pages: 2

For quite some years, British government official Nick Pope visited Wiltshire on a regular basis to study the crop circles. At one point he stopped coming and the government declared not to be interested in the phenomenon anymore. Personally I don't believe that. Taking the view that governments know at least as much about this phenomenon as us researchers, one may assume that they are aware that crop circles are a communication means used by an unknown intelligence, maybe of extraterrestrial origin. Therfore, it is absurd to think that any government would not be interested.

In the case of the army, there's even more going on. In the UK, the army denies any interest in the crop circles. They treat the phenomenon as if it is one big joke. However, in reality Wiltshire is imbued with army activity, especially in the air. The so-called black helicopters keep a close eye at the crop fields, they skim over the formations, hanging steadily above them to shoot video footage and photographs (which I have seen with my own eyes on many occassions), not only of the formations, but also of the researchers. I would not at all be surprised if they know exactly who come to England every year to study the phenomenon. It is weird that they are so active over the Vale of Pewsey, where most crop circles appear, when they have a huge military territory just north of Stonehenge...

The lights that are frequently seen in and around crop circles, are also of great interest to the army. On numerous occassions, army helicopters suddenly showed up at the place of a sighting. In some cases it was as if the pilots didn't see the lights, like for instance during the sighting and video footage of Andy Buckley on 18 July 2000 from atop Picked Hill (Wiltshire, UK). This was quite bizarre, since Andy and his partner could clearly see the lights with the naked eye, and the helicopter pilot couldn't really miss them. The pilot clearly showed interest; he seemed to be scanning the area flying to and fro (as can be seen very well on the video footage). Seeing this piece of footage one can only conclude that the lights decide who is to see them...
(This footage can be seen on the video documentary / dvd Contact).

In yet another case (of which we also have video footage) a ball of light seems to be playing a cat and mouse game with the army helicopter. The light withdraws, the helicopter follows. Then suddenly the light starts to approach the helicopter, after which the latter backs off! When I first saw these images, I could hardly believe my eyes. There was such a crystal clear interaction between the light and the pilot, it just gave me the chills...
