1999 Was the year of references to the sun. Take a look at the following examples, all of which were formed in oil seed rape:
1999 Was also the year of the total solar eclipse, on 11 August to be precise...
The solar eclipse above Stonehenge, 1999
The most beautiful reference to the solar eclipse was the Hackpen Hill formation. German researcher Andreas Müller recognized what it meant:

Apart from all different forms of rational communication, there is something else. It's called communication at a subconscious level. This means: communication that goes straight to the heart instead of via our brain (our ratio). I am convinced that this form of communication is at work in the crop circles. It is what I notice, over and over again, both in myself and in others I observe, for instance during my lectures and workshops. The crop circles touch our heart. That's how it feels. Crop circles make people happy, they enlighten our heart, they make us vulnerable. They expand our perception, they broaden our horizon, they open up our heart...
I know, to many people this will sound rather woolly, but I can find no other way to describe it. This is what I have been noticing over the last ten years, both in myself and in others. Crop circles trigger emotional growth. The patterns have tremendous influence at a subconscious level, at an emotional level, which makes us look at life differently. And when you look at the world we live in, this is - in my opinion - about time. After all, aren't we making a huge mess of things?
So... crop circles as intervention. Maybe alien intervention, maybe divine intervention, who knows?
