FACTS & THEORIES

In 1995 another interesting experiment took place. A group of crop circle researchers form Sussex, England, had been working on a way for months to establish contact with the Circle Makers. One evening they were brainstorming about the possible role of music. One of the group members, Barry Reynolds, suddenly got the strong sense that a simple crop formation would appear containing six circular elements. That in itself was rather unusual, since the formations so far that year had been very complex. Barry drew the formation he had in mind: a circle, another circle surrounded by a ring, and yet another circle surrounded by two rings.

Preparing the experiment

Several days later, on 28 June 1995, the group went to the top of Wolstonbury Hill, where they carried out the well prepared experiment. The meditation was rather elaborate; music, crystals and earth energy lines played an important role.

Two days later, on 30 June, the group members were told about the discovery of a new formation at Felbridge, West-Sussex. Upon investigation, this formation turned out to be identical to Barry Reynolds's drawing! (This event is beautifully documented in a book written by two members of the group, Andy Thomas and Paul Bura: "Quest for Contact" from 1997, a book I truly recommend).

The result

What exactly happens during these events, we don't know for sure. Do these people simply pick up during their meditations what is already 'in the air'? Are they just unaware witnesses of something that is about to happen anyway? Or do they co-create the formations? Is there really an exchange of ideas, thoughts and wishes between the Circle Makers and human beings, after which the Circle Makers put the formations into the crop and in which the humans played a co-creating role? At this moment in time we cannot give an unambiguous answer to this question yet...
