FIRST BARLEY FORMATION IN WILTSHIRE

Also on May 31, I received a message of yet another formation: one in barley opposite Silbury Hill at Avebury, in the same field that contained the massive Mayan Mask formation last year.
At first the farmer, Mr. Hughes from Beckhampton, allowed no one in the formation, but after a good night's sleep he kindly decided to put up an honesty box and allow people in, for which I am most grateful...

The formation is a gem. Straight away upon entering the flower-like pattern, the fingers of my right hand started tingling to the point they almost became numb. My friend who was there with me experienced the same thing but with his left hand. The lay of the crop is gorgeous, almost fluent as if water had run through the field. The centre of the formation has a beautiful standing tuft of barley stems. The overall feeling of the formation? JOY! Thé crop circle feeling par excellence...

The last photo shows how the small plants in the tramlines (retarded growth) have swept back up straight after being hit by the energies. Apart from a few footprints (from the small amount of visitors) I found no traces of human activity in the formation.

What a delight: the crop circle season has finally kicked off in Wiltshire!
