CONCEPTION AT THE WEST WOODS

On May 31 I received a message about a new formation right next to the West Woods at Lockeridge, in the same field that - two years earlier - contained the Venus formation.
After a bit of a search (the formation cannot be seen from the road nor from the edge of the field) I found the small pattern in a sea of yellow flowers. Because of its small dimensions, my poleshots soon showed me that what we are dealing with here is a symbol of conception: an egg and a sperm.

Many plants had been broken, yet I also found sufficient bent stems to assume that I was standing in a genuine formation.

The centre of the formation has a standing tuft of oil seed rape plants, with an opening on one side, which gives it the impression of a tipi. In one word: beautiful! Small but splendid... and what a magnificent symbol!
