THE FIRST UK-FORMATION OF 2010

After a long and cold winter, the 2010 season has finally begun!
The first report came in yesterday (5 May): quite a complex formation had appeared in oil seed rape at Old Sarum, Amesbury.

The formation is clearly authentic, carried out beautifully showing mostly bent stems.

The last photo clearly shows the stubble of the 2009 wheat, totally unaffected by the energies, yet another indication of the fact that the Circle Makers adjust the energies they use to the crop that they want to go down, in this case oil seed rape. Other crops (such as wheat subble in this case) remain unaffected.

I would like to share a remarkable synchronicity with you. After leaving the formation and returning to my car, I noticed that I had lost my car keys. This struck me as odd, since the pocket they were in was deep and I don't often lose things. After a long search in the formation, my friend Rob Armstrong found them, luckily. A bit later, when I had climbed Old Sarum in order to take some distance pictures, a local (Andrew) started a conversation with me about the formation. He told me that he and some friends had visited a formation in exactly the same field when he was about 20 years old (in the late eighties). (The farmer confirmed he had more formations in that field in the past.) He spontaneously told me that they had felt like little children, merry and playful, and that everybody had lost something in that formation that evening: a scarf, a hat, a pipe, a ten pound note. "Weird...", he added, "as if the Makers took something in return for what they had given. But we didn't care much, as we were having such a good time!" He told me more, about the strange lights he had seen in the area in the course of the years, but what struck me most was his remark that everybody had lost something in that formation. It was in exactly the same field, he said, just slighly to the north. I thought of my car keys of course, but also of the camera part my collegue researcher Gary King lost while he was in this formation at the same time as me, and of something 'Cosmic Dave' had told me by the side of the field: he too had lost his car keys in this formation, the evening before...

What a great start of the season! For several days now, I had driven by and searched the fields around Alton Barnes and Avebury in vain. Who could have known that the Circle Makers would strike at Old Sarum? Could this be the beginning of a series of formations around Stonehenge, just like back in 1996, 1997 and 2002? Time will tell...
