THE GODDESS

When this small formation appeared at the end of July, I remembered thinking: “That’s GOT to be a hoax!” Clearly a Goddess holding a sun (or 8th chakra) in her hands above her head, an image that can easily be found in any shop in Glastonbury. The moment it appeared I was in Glastonbury attending the annual 3-day crop circle conference.

After 15 years of researching this phenomenon, I still get trapped occasionally by my old prejudices and inside-the-box-thinking… Little did I know until I entered this pretty little formation. The feeling was magical, soft and sweet yet powerful: a true Goddess! The lay of the crop was sublime, I entered the formation at the bottom of the formation, where the outer ring touch the Goddess’ feet. A breath-taking example of interweaving lay before me: two swirls, one from the left and one from the right, met at this very point at her feet. Two rivers of energy had crushed into each other, leaving a magical play behind of flattened wheat plants. The many layers of crop indicated that the both flows had reached the lowest point of the ring at exactly the same moment. But it didn’t stop there, it bent inwards, both from the left and the right, towards the Goddess herself as if to kiss her feet. This is where the outer ring and the Goddess became one..

I held my breath as I walked on, towards the lower part of her body. Multi-layering was the word that said it all. A joyful play of light and dark as a result of the way in which the stems had been flattened. Left, right, up, down, in, out… This small formation was a true gem!

In the centre of the lower part of the Goddess’ body was a standing bundle of wheat plants. One side of the standing plants had clearly been affected heavily by the energies: the seed heads had been scorched by the heat and turned black. One plant had been burnt heavily, other plants inside the bundle were only partially burnt (Only one or two seeds). A bit further down, many of these plants had been broken at a slightly different height. Whatever kind of energy vortex had hit these plants, it had not been subtle! I had found traces of intense heat in different crop circles in the past, but never as severe as these.

When I walked through the rest of the formation, I found another plant that had experienced the heat of the Circle Makers: a thistle was partially scorched to blackness. The strange thing however was the fact that the other part of the plant was totally unaffected. Not only had it not been burnt, it had not been flattened either. God(dess) knows how these energies work, but they certainly work in mysterious ways!

Yet in another location, I found a clump of geraniums that was totally unaffected by the energies. Had this formation been constructed by man using a board, these plants would have been pushed to the ground just like all the other plants, or at least they would have shown some damage.

Upon looking at the formation from above, one can clearly see that the standing tuft of plants in the lower part of the Goddess’ body represents a specific body part. No, not the navel guys, look at her anatomy! As my friend Andrew said with a big grin on his face: “Maybe this formation can teach us men something… "“Oh, so THAT's where it is?!”

Why it was scorched remains a mystery. Maybe the Circle Makers were simply telling us that Goddesses are HOT?
