Ghosts
As we've seen previously, electrical pulses quite often cause anomalous germination and growth patterns of crop circle seeds. However, these next cases cannot be explained by this alone, for we are dealing here with totally different seeds of (quite often) totally different crops...
Example 1:
July 1999: this formation at Barbury Castle appeared in wheat.
Autumn 1999: the farmer harvests and ploughs the field. No trace is left of the formation. Spring 2000: the farmer sows new crop: barley.
Summer 2000: this new crop clearly shows the 'ghost' of the crop circle of the year before:
Cause: the barley plants growing on the spot where the formation appeared the year before, grow quite faster than the 'controls' (i.e. the normal plants in the rest of the field). The 'ghost plants' are greener, stronger and fresher.
This cannot be explained by the manipulated seeds of the crop circle plants in 1999, since this is completely different crop, different seeds! Example 2:
June 2000: this formation appears across Silbury Hill.
Autumn 2000: the farmer harvests and ploughs the field. No trace is left of the formation. Spring 2000: the farmer sows new crop.
Summer 2001: this new crop clearly shows the 'ghost' of the formation of the year before:
Cause: the seeds that were sown on the spot where the formation appeared the year before, hardly germinate at all. The farmer declares he has never seen this in his crop before. He simply has no explanation...
